normally i’m really averse to all the pseudo-buddha, new-agey, zen-plated, “i’m a buddhist even though i was raised in a western religion” bullshit that’s clogging up the yoga studios these days, but i have to say, i really love this app called ommwriter, which, despite it’s spiritual inclinations, is just a really simple, beautiful, intuitive word processing app that comes with a very decluttering soundtrack and aesthetic. i would even say that the app is inspiring and actually makes me want to do the hardest thing in the world for me: write.

DAD: i don’t know how to send emails. i know how to write an email, i just don’t know how to send it.

ME: you just press the ’send’ button, dad. it’s easy.

DAD: i don’t think i have that button. is that on the left or right side of the keyboard?

ME: it’s not on the keyboard. it’s on the screen.

DAD: oh, so i just touch ’send’ on the screen?

and don’t even get me started on my conversations with him about facebook.
