i’m always interested to see whatever they’ve got, but this year i truly, truly wish to see something pertaining to Walking Man, dear Marc Abrams, aka reader walker, who died the other day in a hot tub (yes, a death that really only affects people in LA). i’m thinking maybe tshirts, or if someone were really ambitious in such a short amount of time, screenprinted short shorts like Dr. abrams used to wear on his nightly perambulations.

i love this rubber safe cleverly disguised as a head of lettuce. the website suggests hiding valuables in the lettuce and then storing it in your refrigerator, but i’ve got a better idea: smuggling drugs through airport security! what officer is going to think to look inside a bag full of lettuce?! it’s fucking brill, man.

CardsInk is doing for greeting cards what threadless does for t-shirts. viewers vote on designs and the highest voted designs get printed, with the designer getting $100.
one thing though: does anyone actually buy greeting cards online? i mean, if you’re online and you want to send a greeting card, don’t you just send one electronically? i hope i’m just wrong and/or lazy.
by the way, threadless is having a $10 sale on all t-shirts this week. now, you can’t wear an electronic t-shirt, AMIRITE??!
i love these cassette lamps and the beautiful light shapes they cast. they’re made by designer vanesa moreno and can be ordered from her site for between €25 and €220.
i remember having my silhouette drawn once in kindergarten, and then for some reason it was never done again in subsequent grades. strange then that something that requires one to sit still for so long would be done only on an age-group that notoriously hates to sit still.
but now you can update your profile the old-fashioned way with these gorgeous leaf silhouettes. just send in a photo and await your portrait—no sitting next to a hot overhead projector required!

you can either buy one Kudamemo or by the crate for like $60,000 from japan here. the D-BROS have done good work here, although i’d like to see them apply that to their website which wasted about 13 minutes of my time.
