I am not a cwook!

the best test of an inter-species friendship is to take the human element out, i.e. the steady supply of food. that’s when you find out who your true best friends are. really, i think it’s a dog-eat-deer world out there, and it’s gonna take more than the mamas & the papas to convince me otherwise.
but still: SO CUTE, RIGHT????
oh my god, i have died and taken the cat elevator to heaven! i want to meet the wondrous people responsible for building this. do they possibly have room for one more in their home? i can take the stairs.

i don’t know about you guys, but this photo makes me alternately gush tears and crave pringles.

ok, one question: how the fuck do you stop filming this kid before she’s finished her dance routine? i pray the cameraperson just ran out of disk space, otherwise i’ve lost all hope for humanity.
if i were that guy in the denim jacket, i would only consider the day profitable if at least once a day some chunky kid danced like that in front of me and my band.
here’s the cute little butterball getting her portrait drawn later that day:

bonnie and clyde were two dogs found in rural england and sent to a rescue shelter. eventually the shelter staff discovered that clyde (left) was blind and relied entirely on bonnie (in red) to lead him around.
one of the staff members said:
“If Clyde’s unsure where he is, he will suddenly go behind Bonnie and put his face on the back of her so she can guide him. He totally relies on her. And when she walks she tends to stop and make sure he’s there – she does look out for him. When she’s about you wouldn’t notice he is blind, but when she’s not about he refuses to move. There’s no option of homing them separately. They’ve got to go as a pair.”
this story is so touching it makes me want to cry myself blind so i can be led around by a dog throughout the english countryside. it smacks so much of that children’s movie from the 90s Homeward Bound, about the 2 dogs and a cat on a mission to find their owners. jesus, why are dogs and cats lost in the wild so freaking cute??!* but then there’s also an even cuter element here similar to this video of inter-species friendship, because, really, a blind and not-so-cute dog in the wild is as good as a subspecies.

bonnie and clyde: the bitch leading the blind
*NEW IDEA FOR A REALITY SHOW: domesticated dogs and cats put in the wild and then left to find their way home. kind of like Survivor for housepets except you vote another animal off by eviscerating him and victory is finding your way back to your master’s backyard. WHO’S IN???
